What Happened?

He was apprehended when police employed cameras to monitor his movements and were captured on camera by the news source Corriere. And now, he asserts that he “doesn’t know what happened” while speaking from his cell in the Montacuto prison in Ancona.

According to ANSA, the suspect apologized to the victim’s relatives and inquired about his girlfriend. He stated that Alika was quite insistent, begging for change and even squeezing the woman’s arm and that this is why he struck the man because his girlfriend “became angry.”

He said: “I don’t know how this happened to me”.

According to the report, Ferlazzo has a history of anger management problems, which is why his legal team will ask for a mental evaluation. The victim’s attorneys will vehemently object to this request.

According to his attorney Roberta Bizzarri, Ferlazzo appeared before Macerata investigating judge Claudio Bonifazi during a preliminary hearing and cooperated, expressed regret, and made it apparent that there was no racial intent.

It will be determined whether the victim’s death was brought on by blows, suffocation, or another reason by an autopsy on his body, which is scheduled to be performed tomorrow at the Civitanova hospital.

Alika was hawking items on the street in the coastal resort when, according to the police, someone grabbed his crutch and struck him. Daniel Almanza, the director of the local immigration organization ACSIM, asserted that the attacker became enraged after Alika called his partner “beautiful.”

Alika allegedly stated: “Bella, can you buy some handkerchiefs or give me one euro.”

Matteo Luconi, a police investigator, said: “The aggressor went after the victim, first hitting him with a crutch.”

He added: “He made him fall to the ground, then he finished, causing the death, striking repeatedly with his bare hands.”

After the attacker left the scene, taking Alika’s phone with him, witnesses dialed 911.

Filippo Ferlazzo Arrested

Ferlazzo was detained by police on suspicion of killing the victim and stealing his phone. Amanza said: “The tragic fact is that there were many people nearby.

“They filmed, saying stop, but no one moved to separate them.”
