Joan Eileen Hocquard, who was the oldest living person in the United Kingdom, was a British supercentenarian, a title she previously held jointly with Bob Weighton until his death on 28 May 2020. She was born on 29 March 1908.

After the death of Hilda Clulow, 111, on 24 December 2019, Hocquard became the oldest living woman in the United Kingdom, as well as the oldest living male in the United Kingdom. With Bob Weighton of Alton, Hampshire, England, she shared this title.

Hocquard became the sole titleholder following Weighton’s death on 28 May 2020.

Joan Hocquard died on October 24, 2020, at the age of 112 years, 209 days, in Poole, Dorset, England, UK.

Death Cause

She died at her care home in Poole, Dorset, as confirmed by the BBC. Mr. Reynolds said that his aunt assumed that long life was no secret and that “enjoyed butter and cream and she scoffed at the idea of dieting”.
