The Albany County district attorney’s office reports that a man named Michael Green who fled the area as a jury was about to find him guilty of attempted murder has been discovered dead.
After a 5-hour standoff with police at a home in Orlando, Florida, Michael Green was discovered dead on Thursday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Further information about the standoff was not immediately available Friday morning, and it was unclear how police were able to follow Green to the house where he died.
Michael was 36 years old.

On June 10, just before the decision was announced, Green disappeared. On a $100,000 bail, he was released. A warrant was issued to locate him after he escaped the courthouse.
After a jury trial that lasted almost a week, Green, also known as Michael Edwards, was found guilty of attempted murder and criminal possession of a firearm before Judge Roger McDonough.
The conviction came after Green was charged with firing shots from a handgun while inside a moving car toward an Old Loudon Road address in Colonie on or around April 13, 2020, according to the prosecution.
Children between the ages of 2 and 6 were among the individuals residing in the building at the time. He might have spent up to 25 years behind bars.
