At Jacobi Medical Center, Price Tunstall passed away.

His younger brother’s condition remained critical on Wednesday.

Federal authorities indicted the siblings and nine other suspected Monroe Houses Crew members in January 2020, accusing them of being members of a violent gang that peddled crack cocaine at the Soundview complex and targeted rival gang members with weapons and knives.

As their case progressed through Manhattan Federal Court, both were released on bond with ankle tracking devices.

Johnson, who is said to be a member of a rival gang, was charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, assault, and weapons possession. On Wednesday, he was scheduled to be arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court.

Johnson was sentenced to four years in prison in 2016 after being convicted of attempted murder in the Bronx.

According to California Department of Correction records, he was released from jail last year and is on parole until 2025. Dermot Shea, the commissioner of the New York City Police Department, told PIX11 News on Wednesday morning, “Last night in the Bronx there was a terrible shooting,”

“Two brothers were shot. (The shooter) was just paroled for another shooting.

He added, “The cycle of violence of guns, gangs and no consequences is what needs to be interrupted,”
