Body Found Full Details
Samuel’s body was discovered soon before 6 a.m. on Tuesday evening at the Best Western Inn in the 200 block of West Gibson Street, according to Kjas News. The youngster turned six on Saturday, May 5, according to his family.
The body was discovered in a tote bag in a room on the west side of the motel complex, according to Jasper Police Chief Gerald Hall. “It looks that the person had been there for some time,” Hall said, based on the condition of the body.
Samuel Olson, a northwest Houston resident, was reported missing by family members on May 27, 2021, but police claimed there was conflicting information regarding when he was last seen.
Samuel’s grandma told the local media that she “saw and held Sam for the last time on May 2 as he and his cousins visited her house,” according to an appeal.
She claimed to have spoken with Samuel over a week and a half ago. The apartment rented by an associate of Samuel’s father’s girlfriend at Houston’s Gateway at Ellington was searched by Houston police on Monday, May 31. Samuel had been last seen here, according to the information they had received.
Tonya told the journalists on Tuesday, June 1st, that “We’re all just really confused about everything that is going on at the moment.”

Theresa Balboa, the child’s father’s girlfriend, was arrested early Wednesday morning, according to police. She was allegedly discovered in a Jasper, Texas motel room on Tuesday, in the same room as a child’s body.
Sarah Olson, Samuel’s mother, hasn’t seen her son in almost a year, according to her attorney. According to Marco Gonzalez of KTRK-TV, “Our client has primary custody, but our client has been denied access for the child for many months. Our client has not had any access to young Samuel in many, many months.”
Gonzalez also refuted Balboa’s assertion that Sarah kidnapped him, adding “that is completely untrue.”
