Last week, the body of a missing Arkansas woman named Tara Strozier was discovered weighed down in an Oklahoma pond, and three people have been detained in connection with her death, according to authorities.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the remains of Tara Strozier were discovered in a body of water near Rock Island on Thursday after suspect Alex Davis, 30, allegedly admitted to killing her.


She was 40 years old.

Tara Strozier Missing

Strozier was reported missing from Fort Smith, Arkansas, on July 19, and her automobile was discovered abandoned five days later near Cameron, Oklahoma, according to investigators.

Strozier was allegedly tortured in a mobile home before being put in the pond, according to investigators.

Suspects Arrested

Davis told investigators that he was with another suspect, Austin Johnson, 23, at the time of the murder.

Davis and Johnson have both been charged with murder. Kaelin Hutchinson, 24, was charged with obstruction of an officer as a third suspect.

Tara Strozier Body Found

Strozier’s body was discovered Thursday, the same day Davis admitted to killing Strozier at the pond while Johnson was there, according to authorities. Authorities claim that after the murder, the two weighted her corpse and dumped Strozier into the water.

Davis and Johnson are both facing first-degree murder charges. Davis is also charged with kidnapping. Both are being jailed without bond in the Le Flore County jail. They’ll be back in court on August 6th.

According to People.com Hutchinson is charged with obstruction of an officer, accessory after the fact, and conspiracy, and his bond was set at $250,000 on Friday.
