Tilly Tremayne is the wife of Trevor Peacock.
Tilly Tremayne is an actress and the late wife of Trevor Peacock, who played the Vicar of Dibley.
The actress is best known for her role as Dr. Marian Taylor on Coronation Street. She has appeared in the 2007 film adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion as Viscountess Dalrymple and as Ellen on Poldark.
Wish Me Luck, Casualty, London’s Burning, Touching Evil, and Heartbeat are among Tremayne’s other credits. She also starred in the National Theatre’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and the West End’s The Good Companions in 1974.
Her age is unknown.
Trevor and Tilly are the parents of a son and a daughter.
Harry, their son, was born in 1978, and Maudie, their daughter, was born in January 1982. Trevor and his former wife had a son, Daniel, born in 1959, and a daughter, Sally, born in 1961.
Maudie works for the BBC, Daniel is a writer and producer, and Harry is an actress. Trevor designed ‘Trevor Trees’ with his daughter Sally in the final stages of his dementia, which were tree-shaped mobiles made from sticks from his Somerset garden.
The tree’s profits were donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Trevor Peacock has died from a dementia-related illness at the age of 89. On behalf of his family, his representative released the following statement: “Trevor Peacock, actor, writer, and songwriter, died aged 89 on the morning of March 8th from a dementia-related illness.”
