Authorities confirmed three guys have been detained in relation to a shooting that left rapper Lil TJay injured. Mohamed Konate was detained on attempted murder, armed robbery, and firearms charges, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported on Wednesday.

On suspicion of illegally possessing a weapon, Jefferey Valdez and Antoine Boyd, two additional guys, were also detained. Lil Tjay was shot while Valdez and Boyd were around him; they were not directly responsible.

When Did Lil Tjay Get Shot?

According to the Edgewater Police Department, Konate attempted to rob Lil Tjay and his group using a gun. Just after midnight on Wednesday, the rapper from Run It Up was shot in Edgewater, New Jersey.

According to police, there were numerous 911 calls concerning gunshots at 14 The Promenade. Boyd and Lil TJay both suffered gunshot wounds when they arrived, with Lil TJay having numerous wounds.

How Many Times Lil Tjay Got Shot?

At The Promenade in Edgewater, he was shot numerous times. Just after midnight, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, police were called in response to reports of gunfire at the scene.

The extent of Lil Tjay’s injuries is unknown, however, sources told TMZ that he had emergency surgery. The shooting didn’t seem to be a random act, according to officials at first.

Lil Tjay Out Of Surgery

Both were sent to a local hospital for medical attention. Officials did not disclose their health statuses, but according to TMZ, Lil TJay had emergency surgery. According to RapTV, Lil TJay is apparently out of surgery but is still being closely watched by medical professionals.

Later on Wednesday, Konate was taken into custody by detectives from the New York Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. According to officials, his extradition to New Jersey is still pending. Boyd and Valdez were being held at the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack pending an initial hearing after being charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
