Early Tuesday morning, photos of suspects in the deadly shooting of a great-grandmother named Yvonne Ruzich in Chicago’s Hegewisch neighborhood were released.

Ruzich, who retired from the Department of Streets and Sanitation, used to work at the Baltimore Food shop near 133rd Street and Baltimore Avenue a couple of days a week before 5 a.m. On his way to work, her stepson would sometimes stop to chat for a few minutes.
Monday started out like any other until an unknown gunman decided to murder her.
Karla Ruzich added, “You should be ashamed of yourself, and anybody who’s hiding your dirty little secret right now should be ashamed of themselves, too,”

Chicago police published two photographs of the suspects in the case early Tuesday, both of whom were equipped with firearms.
The suspects appear to be two individuals, both of whom were wearing masks at the time of the incident. One was dressed entirely in white, while the other was dressed entirely in black. The new photographs are being used by police in the hopes of locating the suspects.
McGivney described his partner as a lovely, caring grandmother who made sure everyone was okay.
The victim’s boyfriend, Phil McGivney, said, “I don’t know what to do with my life now,”
“I lost my best friend.”
Phil added, “She was wonderful,”
“She would do anything in the world for anybody and always did.”
Dozens of family and friends gathered Monday to mourn the loss of 70-year-old Yvonne Ruzich, known as “Grandma Jo.”
Ruzich was parked in her car before reporting to work around 4:30 a.m. when two gunmen walked up and shot her, police said.

She worked part-time to keep herself occupied. Her manager described her as a diligent worker and a loyal employee. Many in the close-knit Hegewisch neighborhood remembered her for always having a smile on her face and a positive outlook.
Suspects
One suspect was described as wearing full black clothing and a black face mask, according to police. A light-colored hooded sweatshirt, light-colored leggings, black shoes with white soles, and a light-colored face mask were worn by the second person.
